Wyatt Hilton pitched a complete game while scattering seven hits and striking out five as Oakridge downed Mojntague 6-3 Wednesday in the opening game of a West Michigan Conference baseball doubleheader.

Brock Luttrell led the Eagles offensively with two hits and two RBIs. Jacob Buchberger had two hits, including a triple, and 2 RBIs for Montague. 

Montague got even in the nightcap with a 3-0 win, thanks to a complete game shutout pitched by Buchberger.

Buchberger also had an RBI double and scored a run for the Wildcats. Hunter Benson had a pair of hits for Oakridge in the loss.

Kent City 2, Kelloggsville: Jake Krueger pitched a complete game victory for Kent City, scattering seven hits and striking out seven. Kelloggsville tied the game in the top of the fourth inning before Kent City’s Randy Thompson broke the stalemate with a solo homer in the sixth. Thompson had two hits in the game.  The Eagles improved to 8-2 overall and 5-2 in the O-K Silver.
