Grand Haven Athletic Director Robin Bye passes away at 56

GRAND HAVEN — Robin Bye, the athletic director at Grand Haven High School, died Saturday April 12 after a long bout with cancer. He was 56 years old. 

Bye served the Grand Haven district in various capacities including as a coach and teacher for 34 years, according to superintendent Keith Konarska.

Visitation for Bye will be Friday, April 18, 5-9 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym at Grand Haven High School, 17001 Ferris, Grand Haven. The funeral service will be Saturday, April 19, at 1 p.m. at Covenant Life Church, 101 Columbus, Grand Haven.

Bye is survived by his wife, Kathy, a special education teacher at Grand Haven’s Griffin School; son Erik, a social studies teacher at Grand Haven High School; and a daughter, Alicia.
