Kylie Masko pitched five innings of shutout softball in Grand Haven’s 2-0 win over Zeeland East Wednesday in a non-league matchup.

The win was the Bucs’ first of the season.

Grand Haven jumped on the board in the first inning when Jordan Buckingham singled, advanced to second, stole third, then scored on a throwing error.

Masko gave the Bucs an insurance run in the seventh with an RBI single that drove in Kaylee Hartwell.

Masko had eight strikeouts and only one walk. Hartwell struck out five in the final two innings to collect the save.
