The Oakridge Eagles doubled up host North Muskegon in Friday’s doubleheader opener, and scratched out some late-inning offense in the nightcap to complete the sweep of the Norse in West Michigan Conference baseball action.

The Eagles won Game 1 12-6 and Game 2 5-2 to notch the sweep.

In the opener, the Norse’s Reese McCamant nailed a two run, first-inning homer, but the Eagles would post the next eight runs to coast to the victory.

Billy Drummond had a pinch hit, three-run homer for Oakridge while Brock Luttrell had two singles, and Jordon Fairchild added a double in the win.

Wyatt Hilton pitched the complete-game win for the Eagles.

The Norse were led by McCamant, who added a single to go with his two-run shot, and Pallante, who had two singles.

Oakridge’s DJ Bowen contributed at the plate and the mound in Game 2, tossing the complete-game victory after allowing two runs on five hits.

Bowen smashed a three-run homer in the sixth to give the Eagles some breathing room. Bowen finished with three hits, and David Dykstra added a double.

For the Norse (3-3, 2-2), Stephen Pallante and Riley Draper each had doubles.
