The Reeths-Puffer baseball team found itself in a pair of battles Saturday, but managed outslug Oakridge 9-8 and Montague 9-7 to remain unbeaten with a 5-0 record.

Reeths-Puffer and Oakridge combined for 22 hits. The lead changed hands six times before the Rockets took the lead for good in the fifth inning on a two-run single by Tyler Moss that scored Parker Richardson and Caleb Sheffer.

Moss got the win on the mound, pitching 4 1/3 innings with seven hits, two strikeouts and four walks. Collin Houseman pitched 2 2/3 innings for the save.

Scotty Sittser had a two-run double for Oakridge.

The Rockets had a similar game against Montague, with the lead changing hands seven times before the fourth inning.

The Rockets took the lead for good in the fourth when Jake Balkema scored on an error.

Colin Houseman racked up two RBIs on two hits for Rockets.  Jacob Boes got the win for Rockets despite allowing five runs over four innings. He struck out four, walked five and gave up five hits.

Ben Rupert was among several offensive standouts for Montague, delivering an RBI single.
