North Muskegon used a five-run first inning to earn an 8-2 win over Fruitport in non-league softball action Monday.

The Norse outhit the Trojans 9-1.

Alexis Black had Fruiport’s lone hit a double in the fifth winning.

Coopersville 10, Spring Lake 5: The Lakers jumped out to a 3-1 lead after one inning before falling. R.J. Morrow led SL with three hits and three RBIs. Ann Marie Galloway and Kelsee Zuidema had two hits each for the Lakers. Spring Lake pitcher Ashley Kenna allowed ten hits and fanned one.
