North Muskegon pounded out 29 hits Tuesday in a 15-5 and 12-0 doubleheader sweep of West Michigan Conference foe Montague.

In the opener, the Norse (6-5, 5-3) used a seven-run second inning to take command of the game, making a winner of Reese McCamant, who scattered eight hits and struck out six in the complete-game win.

Jesse Dunn, Ryan Compeau, Riley Draper, Brody Scott and Travis Webster all had two hits for the Norse. Draper added three RBI while Webster and Stephen Pallante each had two RBI. For the Wildcats, Chayce Lohman had a three-hit game, and Ben Rupert added two hits.

In the nightcap, Draper tossed the five-inning shutout while allowing three hits, striking out five and walking none. McCamant paced the Norse with three hits and three runs while Compeau, Ben Gautraud, Draper and Joel Hardy all had two hits.

Brody Scott and Compeau each had three RBI while Pallante, Scott, Compeau and Gautraud each scored two runs.

GR Union 4-6, Reeths-Puffer 2-3: The Rockets put up a fight in both games before dropping an O-K Black Conference doubleheader to league-leading Union. Parker Richardson had three hits in the opener for the Rockets while pitcher Brody Vanderlinde pitched five strong innings. In the second game, Reeths-Puffer pitcher Jacob Petrick allowed only two earned runs in six innings. Tyler Mosher had two hits for the Rockets.
