Pitcher Rachel Younts showed off her stamina Saturday, tossing 18 innings to lead the Holton softball team to the championship of the Titan Invitational at Traverse City West High school.

The Red Devils downed Reed City 9-0, Spring Lake 3-2 and Traverse City West 11-1.

In the championship game against Reed City, Younts pitched a shutout, giving up just four hits while striking out 11 and walking two.

Dominique Waltz went 2-3 with a home run, double and two RBIs for the Red Devils.  Jacki Stone had three hits, which included a double, and two RBIs while Ashley Friend and Lexi Younts each had two hits and two RBIs.

In the semifinals, Younts pitched a complete game, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out six and walking two. Stone ripped a two-run homer, Younts added two hits and scored a run while Friend knocked in a run for Holton.

In the first game, Younts pitched five innings, giving up one run on five hits while striking out seven.

Lexi Younts led the Red Devils at the plate with four RBIs. Katie Wildfong chipped in two hits and two RBIs while Waltz also knocked in two runs.

Holton improved to 21-4 on the season.
