Mona Shores falls short in bid to qualify for Division 1 state golf finals; Mitchell White does qualify as an individual for the Sailors

Mona Shores failed to advance to the Division 1 state golf finals after tying for fifth at the regional hosted by Eldorado Golf Course in Mason on Thursday.

The Sailros carded a 310 team and tied with Mattawan, which was three shots behind third-place finisher and automatic state finals qualifier Grandville.

Grand Haven tied for ninth with a 318.

Mona Shores’ Mitchell White did qualify as an individual after taking medalist honors with a 70.
