Mona Shores cruised past Grand Rapids Kenowa Hills in all eight matches on Monday, winning 8-0. The win improved the Sailors to 3-0 in OK Black action.

Claire DeYoung won at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-1 over Kali DeVries. At No. 2 singles, Sophie Gossett topped Bethany Lee 6-1, 6-2. The Sailor’s Madison Hronek beat Erin Ryan 6-0, 6-0 in No. 3 singles. And Bella Purosky defeated Lauren Schulte 6-2, 6-2 in No. 4 singles.

Emily Klemp and Erika Vanderlaan took No. 1 doubles for Mona Shores as they beat Ashley Beurkens and Angelica Garcia 6-1, 6-3. At No. 2 doubles, Bri Holtrop and Kay Chandonnet won 6-1, 6-2 over Kate Mercier and Lindsay Mersman. Caroline Schillaci and Alyssa Pyman took No. 3 doubles over Maria Anderson and Kalin Kubiak, 6-0, 6-1. At No. 4 doubles, Maddie Myhre and Marissa duff swept Kaitlyn Jacubowski and Briana Hardy 6-0, 6-0.

The Sailors face Zeeland East on Tuesday in an OK Black showdown where both teams are undefeated in conference play. The winner will take control of first place heading into this weekend’s conference tournament.
