MCC golfers finish second at Western Conference tournament, Maire and Shepardson earn all-conference

Joel Maire and Ollie Shepardson earned all conference honors as Muskegon Community College finished second at the Western Conference golf tournament on Friday.

The Jayahwks shot a team 1262 which was well short of Grand Rapids’  first-place 1187.

Mariel led with rounds of 74 and 73 for MCC. Marcus Fry opened with a 79 and shot an 80 while Ollie shot rounds of 78 and 82. Noah Carter rounded out the Jayahwks scores with rounds of 81 and 86.
