Oakridge tops West Michigan Conference foe Ravenna to win Division 3 district baseball championship

A pair of big innings helped carry Oakridge to an 11-3 win over Ravenna in a Division 3 district baseball championship game on Saturday.

Oakridge will now face Mason County Central on Saturday in the regional semifinals at Morley-Stanwood High School.

Oakridge scored six runs in the third and five in the fifth inning in the title game.

Wyatt Hilton led Oakridge at the plate with three hits and an RBI, while D.J. Bowen and Jordan Fairchild had two hits each.

Hilton earned the win for Oakridge, striking out six in seven innings, while allowing seven hits and four walks.

Jacob Metten had two hits for Ravenna in the title game.

D.J. Bowen led Oakridge past White Cloud in the semifinals, striking out eight in a 9-2 win.

Ravenna beat Kent City 1-0 in its semifinal game.
