Reeths-Puffer advances to district soccer championship game with win over Coopersville

A first half goal from Kylee VanderMeer was all Reeths-Puffer needed as they earned a 1-0 district semifinal soccer win over Coopersville on Thursday.

The win sends the Rockets into Saturday’s Division 2 district title game where they will face Fruitport at 11 a.m. at Coopersville High School.

Kaitlin Richardson earned an assist on VanderMeer’s goal for R-P.

R-P goalie Elysia Mattos earned the shutout with seven saves.

Coopersville outshot Reeths-Puffer 11-7.
