Reeths-Puffer pitcher Brody Vanderlinde tossed six innings of three-hit baseball Wednesday to lead Reeths-Puffer to a 5-2 victory over Mona Shores in the first game of an O-K Black Conference doubleheader.

Tyler Moss and Jacob Petrick each had RBIs for the Rockets. Collin Houseman added a pair of hits and pitched the final inning to get the save.

In the nightcap, Mona Shores scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh and captured a 7-6 victory.

The Rockets had runners on first and third with nobody out in the bottom of the seventh, but the rally fizzled with a pop-up and two strikeouts.

Dugan Dieselburg knocked in a run and scored another for Mona Shores. Ryan Bramer also had an RBI.

Relief pitcher Troy Trovinger pitched 2 1/3 innings to collect the win.
