Six members of the champion Muskegon Community College baseball team have been honored with postseason recognition.Kory Brown was named to the All-Region 12 team. Brown, Nick Keller and Josh Wieten were first team Michigan Community College Athletic Association selections while Brandon Melchert, Jason Ribecky and Damon Proctor were second team picks.

The Jayhawks won the MCCAA championship this season with a 21-5 league record. It was the first outright league title in the history of the MCC baseball program.

The Jayhawks finished their season with a pair of losses in the National Junior College Athletic Association regionals in Battle Creek. They dropped a 6-4 decision to Vincennes University in 14 innings then lost 3-2 to Grand Rapids Community College.

MCC finished with an overall 35-18 record.
