The Whitehall Vikings are on a roll.

Posting their second shutout win in as many games, the Vikings mercied Mason County Central 8-0 Thursday afternoon in girls West Michigan Conference girls soccer action.

Whitehall, which led 6-0 at the halftime break,  picked up its eighth unanswered goal with 11 minutes left of clock time.

Offensively, the Vikings were led by Kelsey Gensler with two goals and an assist, while teammates Jordan Loudermilk and Hanna Evans both netted two goals each.

Sarah Schmiedeknecht had a goal and three assists, with Miranda Jacobs adding one goal.

Whitehall also got single assists from from Lauren Baustert, Alexis Snyder, and Samantha Huebler.

“Once again the defense was solid,” said Whitehall head coach Dan Nichols.  “We didn’t allow a shot on goal tonight. The defense is playing to their potential every game. Our offense is becoming more of a threat and we are finding more chances. They have been making quicker decisions and are more aggressive with finishing.”
