The prospect portion of Tryout Camp is officially in the books as the invitees gave it one last push in not only trying to make the Black and Gold Game roster, but also making the cut to the Main Camp that begins Tuesday afternoon.

The players had one more round of scrimmages during Monday morning and early afternoon before seeing if they made the move to this evening’s Black and Gold Game.

2014 draft picks Ryker Killins, Zach Berzolla, Jamie Armstrong, and David Trinkberger decided to get some extra work in and participated in the prospects portion of camp before Main Camp.

“It’s been a good three days of camp as we got to see a lot of players compete hard and try to push their way to Main Camp beginning tomorrow,” shared Lumberjacks Assistant General Manager and Assistant Coach Rich McKenna.  “We got to see what these prospects are made of with various practices, scrimmages, and the Black and Gold Game and are happy with the selections we have made thus far.”

Day 4 of Tryout Camp will introduce the Main portion of camp as the returners, affiliates, draft picks, and other additional players will check in and have an introductory meeting with coaching staff and the front office. Three scrimmage sessions follow in the afternoon and end with a one hour goalie practice.

The Tryout Camp is open to the public and includes a “Used Equipment and Merchandise Sale” from 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm located behind Section 119.
