The L.C. Walker Arena is excited to announce that the 2014 Lakeshore Outdoor Expo presented by Clear Channel Media and Entertainment is coming to the lakeshore’s event center for two days on Friday, September 12th from 4:00-8:00 pm and Saturday, September 13th from 10:00 am-6:00 pm for all outdoorsmen and women gearing up for the Michigan hunting season openers along with the beginning of Salmon and Steelhead Trout fishing.
The Lakeshore Outdoor Expo takes place immediately prior to the Michigan hunting season openers for small game, archery, firearms, deer, and waterfowl. In addition, fishing in the Great Lakes and inland waters has strong momentum with fall river fishing for Salmon and Steelhead Trout just getting underway. With only a limited number of other Outdoor Expos occurring along the lakeshore area, this expo is an attractive opportunity for businesses to make themselves a known commodity while boosting their sales revenue.
“We feel this is a great opportunity for the community to experience a variety of equipment and goods for all outdoor sports under one roof during a two day show from hunting to fishing to boating to camping to hiking to biking and more,” shared Tim Feagan, Vice President of Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. “The Lakeshore Outdoor Expo will also provide the business community the ability to sell products and services to an audience at a time when sales in those categories are at or near peak for the year allowing them to capture a bigger share of the market. Timing is important in retailing, and the Lakeshore Outdoor Expo will help businesses take advantage of that opportunity.”
The first 4,000 adults that attend the expo will receive a coupon bag good to use at any of the participating sponsorship booths during the weekend. Notable opening dates for hunting season include the following: September 15th – Small Game Hunting Begins; September 19th and 20th – Youth Hunting Weekend (accompanied by an adult); October 1st – Bow Season Begins; and November 15th – Riffle Season Begins.
In conjunction to the Lakeshore Outdoor Expo comes the annual and ever-popular Irish Music Festival running the same weekend from September 12-14th at Heritage Landing located on Shoreline Drive just down the road from the L.C. Walker Arena.
