The Fruitport soccer team started clicking on all cylinders Monday, beating Coopersville 4-0 in a non-league matchup.The Trojans took control by scoring twice in the first 10 minutes of the game.

Fruitport’s Zach Shane opened the scoring when he took a pass from Eli Flores and beat the goalie with a left foot shot.

Noah Hendricks added a goal from close range a short time later, with an assist from Kyle Winger.

Bryant Rebone put the Trojans up 3-0 with a goal about eight minutes into the second half. Cameron Brandow got the assist. Hendricks topped things off with his second goal with about 10 minutes left the game, with an assist from Shane.

Goalkeeper Conner Deneen had eight saves to collect his second shutout of the season for Fruitport (2-1). Coopersville dropped to 0-2 on the season.
