The Mona Shores girls cross country team overcame wet and muddy conditions Thursday to take third place in the East Grand Rapids Pioneer Classic Invitational.
Junior Jackie Seward was the individual winner of the race while teammate Morgan Dennison finished 13th overall.
Other Sailor runners placing in the top 30 were freshmen Noelle Seward and Peyton Erntedman, along with sophomore Annika Cotner. The girls race again on Saturday morning in the Big Red Invitational at McGraft Park.
