Kent City and Hesperia found themselves in the soggy trenches of Hesperia High School on Friday and neither team looked like they could score. Not until overtime did Kent City overcome Hesperia, 8-0.

The Eagles pulled out the win off a Chase Stokill touchdown reception from quarterback Nick Alt.

Joe Allen led Hesperia with 73 yards on 17 carries, Freddy Vanderstelt rushed 10 times for 43 yards, and Santana Price added 29 yards on 7 rushes.

Defensively for Hesperia, Eric Rosema had 8 tackles as well as a batted pass for an interception and Jonah Wugnema lead the team with 13 tackles.
