Reeths-Puffer, North Muskegon battle to 2-2 tie in nonleague soccer

Reeths-Puffer and North Muskegon battled to a 2-2 tie Saturday in non-league varsity soccer.

The Norse dominated play in the first half and grabbed a 2-1 lead with goals from Connor Gannon and Justice Sikkema. Evan Hall had a first half goal for the Rockets.

Reeths-Puffer mounted more offense in the second half and got the tying goal from Noah Sorn.

“Both teams played hard soccer and created opportunities,” said Reeths-Puffer Coach Keith Knapp. “They have great speed up front and really pressured our back line. I was glad to see our guys respond better in the second half.”
