Division 3 district soccer roundup: Lucas paces Oakridge with four goals; Whitehall and Ludington advance to semis

Travis Lucas had four goals and one assist to lead Oakridge past Montague 6-3 Monday in a Division 3 district soccer matchup.

Cruz Rodriguez added a goal and an assist while Ronnie Shaffer chipped in a goal for Oakridge.

Elliot Kennedy paced Montague with a goal and an assist while Kaleb Hams and Daniel Lipka each had single goals. Hunter Stein chipped in an assist for the Wildcats.

Shots on goal were 13-12 in favor of Oakridge, which will face Manistee in a Wednesday semifinal. Manistee downed Mason County Central 8-0 Monday.

Division 3

Whitehall 6, Orchard View 0Windsor Marecek scored two goals for the Vikings, who advance to play Ludington in the district semifinals Wednesday at Manistee. Daniel DuBois, Robbie Jacobs, John Gonzalez and Patrick Johnson each has single tallies for Whitehall, which outshout Orchard View 16-1.

Ludington 2, Shelby 0 – Dylan Hanson and Zac Schoon each scored goals for Ludington while Schoon and David Ritter added assists. Julius Lenz got the shutout in goal for the Orioles, who will meet Whitehall in Wednesday’s semifinals.
