Grand Haven struggled offensively as it fell to East Kentwood, 56-17.

East Kentwood’s Kyle Friberg had four touchdowns on the evening, while the Falcons’ offense racked up 455 yards of total offense compared to Grand Haven’s 373 yards.

It looked promising for the Buccaneers early as Chase Pego dashed in for a 10-yard touchdown and quarterback Levi Overway tossed a nine-yard touchdown pass to Nick Mulcahy.

The Bucs were with the Falcons 14-14 after the first quarter, however they would not find the end zone for the rest of the evening.

Their next opportunity to get on the scoreboard came in the fourth quarter. Casper Atterman kicked a 29-yard field goal attempt for Grand Haven as time expired.

Schaefer Thelen led Grand Haven in rushing with 171 yards on 20 carries and Pego followed with 12 rushes for 54 yards. Aaron Cummings had 11 tackles.

Grand Haven finished the season with a 3-6 overall record, they were 0-5 in conference play.
