Mason County Central tops Ludington 34-7

The Mason County Central Spartans finished the season with a 34-7 victory over  the Ludington Orioles.

In the first quarter, the Spartans’ Chance Iles snatched up a fumble and returned it 35 yards to give the Spartans a 7-0 lead.

Quarterback Spencer Knizacky found fellow Spartan Sean Wells in the end zone on a 10-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.

At halftime MCC led 14-0.

The Spartans’ Blake Bladzik ran in a touchdown from 11 yards out in the third quarter.

Cody Soberalski had two touchdowns for MCC in the fourth quarter. Ludington scored its lone touchdown on a Jacob Janowiak two yard dash.

Knizacky had 72 yards passing and a touchdown. Bladzik led the team in rushing with 50 yards on nine carries. Colton Tyndall had 15 tackles on defense and two interceptions.

 The Spartans finish the year with a 5-4 overall record.
