The Grant boys basketball team used a 24-6 second quarter run to take control and down Chippewa Hills 59-40 in Central State Activities Association action Friday.
The Tigers are now 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in CSAA league play.
Chad McCracken had 26 points and nine rebounds for the winners.
Big Rapids 62, Newaygo 57 – The Lions could not overcome a 25-13 first quarter deficit. Ben Wolford led the Lions (0-2) with 26 points.
Lakeview 68, Holton 37 – Kevin Slowik paced Holton in a losing effort. Nate Shurlow led Lakeview with 24 points and 11 steals.
