A strong second quarter propelled Grant to a 62-46 victory over the Holton Red Devils in a CSAA Crossover contest on Tuesday night.

The Tigers turned up the intensity with full-court pressure, which created numerous turnovers. In that pivotal second quarter, Grant enjoyed a 22-7 scoring edge.

Grant was led by Chad McCracken with 23 points and Mason Powell with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Holton was led by Kevin Slowik with 16 points and Jacob Tanner with nine points.

The Tigers improve to 3-0 and remain 1-0 in conference. Holton drops to 0-2 and remains 0-1 in conference.

Newaygo 49 Lakeview 65 –The Lions came out slowly in each half and that cost them dearly against Lakeview.  After an early 3-pointer to open the scoring of the third quarter, the Lions would score just three points the rest of the quarter. Newaygo was led by Ben Wolford who had 19 points and Sean Karrit with 18 points. The Lions fall to 0-3 on the year and are 0-1 in conference.
