The Richards sisters of Fruitport Calvary Christian combined for 65 points Thursday as the Eagles raced past Muskegon Heights 80-47 in non-league girls basketball action.

Calvary Christian jumped out to a 12-point lead after one quarter and never looked back.

Taylor Richards was just shy of a triple-double with 33 points, 19 rebounds and seven assists. Allyson Richards put up 32 points, 16 rebounds and four assists.

Leading the way for Muskegon Heights was Diamond Franklin with 17 points and Frandreka Oliver with 13 points.
“Heights is an improved team and this was a very physical game,” said Calvary Christian coach Brad Richards.
Jordyn Hamilton had six assists for Calvary while Britney Zehr had seven steals and a pair of assists.
Kent City 60, Muskegon 55 –  Kent City raced to a 31-17 halftime lead and held on for the win on its home court. Kent City’s Kaitlyn Geers scored 15 points while Kendal Carlson added 12 points and Paige Mortensen had 10. Muskegon’s Mardrekia Cook led all scores with 21 points and Shawnteanna Dame chipped in eight for the Big Reds.

Hesperia 42, Kent City Algoma Christian 30Robin Golden scored 15 points and Marina Still put in 14 to lead Hesperia. The Panters led 15-13 at halftime and held Algoma to to single digits in the first three quarters.
