The Ludington girls basketball team traveled to the U.P. and topped St. Ignace LaSalle 58-50 in overtime on Friday. The Oriole win snapped a 64-game home winning streak for the Lady Saints.

The Orioles went right to work in overtime, scoring the first six points and making 6 of 8 shots from the free throw line.

“We have a lot of respect for a St. Ignace program that’s made a number of trips to the (Jack) Breslin Center,” said Ludington Coach Thad Shank. “To be able to play on their home floor and get a victory gives our girls a little confidence.”

Kristen Reidenbach helped Ludington reverse a 25-19 at halftime deficit, scoring 13 of her 15 points in the second half.
