West Michigan Lake Hawks edged out the Libertyville Vipers 119-109 on Saturday night.

The Lake Hawks earned the road win off of 41 fourth quarter points and a strong defensive effort.

Ralph Monday scored 38 points while adding 17 rebounds for the Lake Hawks. Will Wright also had 24 points and 10 rebounds.

“In spite of injuries, this team is developing trust on the court and playing extremely hard,” said West Michigan head coach Ron Jenkins. “One of the keys in this win was our  “tenacious bunch” on the defensive end.”

Also leading for the Lake Hawks was David Fox with 15 points and five steals. Idell Bell added 17 points and Cameron Wicker added 10 rebounds. Jacob Owens added seven assists.

The Lake Hawks are home on Saturday, December 13 at Muskegon high school with a 6 p.m. start.
