The host Western Michigan Christian Warriors got off to a fast start on Monday night and never looked back in a 60-20 nonleague boys basketball victory over the Fruitport Trojans.

The Warriors led 22-5 after one quarter and cruised to their third straight victory to start the season.

Jacob Ray led WMC’s balanced scoring attack with 11 points. Jared Varnado added 10 points and Chris Hain came off the bench and chipped in nine points. Michael Merz led the rebounding with six and Varnado had five.

Junior post player Antonio Flores led Fruitport (0-2) with nine points.
