The Reeths-Puffer girls basketball team dropped its first conference game of the season Friday, losing 46-45 to Grand Rapids Union.
Both teams struggled offensively in the fourth quarter, but Union had a 5-3 edge to steal the win.
R-P was led by Brooke Larabee, Elysia Mattos, and Camaryia Williams with 10 points apiece. Reeths-Puffer fell to 11-3 on the season and 4-1 in conference play.
Mona Shores 58, Zeeland East 36 – The Sailors gave up just two first quarter points and never let Zeeland East back in the game. Shores was led by Jordan Walker with 24 points and 8 rebounds, Kelsey Wolffis added 15 points while Shamara Tumblin chipped in 11. Mona Shores is now 11-2 on the season and 4-1 in conference play.
