Camaryia Williams scored on a drive with 11.5 seconds remaining in the game, giving the Reeths-Puffer girls basketball team an exciting 40-38 victory over Grand Haven on Tuesday in a non-league matchup.

The victory pushed Reeths-Puffer’s record to 8-2.

After a 19-19 halftime tie, the Rockets jumped ahead 31-21 in the third quarter. Grand Haven, now 2-7 overall, rallied to tie the score four times in the final quarter but could never get the lead.

Williams finished with 14 points, Delaney Bolles added 11 while Brooke Larabee had nine for Reeths-Puffer.

Amanda Merz had a game-high 22 points for Grand Haven. Merz had nine field goals and added four of five free throws. Lynn Olthoff added 11 points for the Bucs.
