The Mona Shores boys’ basketball team defeated Grand Rapids Union Friday 58-51 in an O-K Black Conference matchup.
The Sailors led 11-6 after the first quarter and 41-31 after three quarters en route to the win.
Kobe Burse led the Sailors with 19 points and eight rebounds while Darece Roberson added 12 points.
Lakes 8
Spring Lake 58, Fremont 27 – The Lakers improved to 11-4 overall and 6-1 in the league with the easy win. Kyle Zietlow scored a game-high 21 points for Spring Lake. Nathan Hoffman scored nine points for Fremont, which dropped to 5-12 overall and 4-4 in the conference.
West Michigan Conference
North Muskegon 51, Ravenna 23 – Marco Visconti paced a balanced Norse attack with 11 points and seven rebounds. Jon Osborn and Erick Bleakley added 10 and nine points, respectively, for North Muskegon, which improved to 12-6 overall and 9-4 in the league.
O-K Red
Grand Haven 68, Grandville 40 – The Bucs started the game on a 17-9 first quarter run and led 34-19 at halftime. Lukas Steffel and Tyler Wiedeman each had 13 points for Grand Haven.
