Fruitport Calvary Christian broke a pair of school records in its 103-63 win over Muskegon Heights on Thursday in girls basketball action.

Taylor Richards scored 42 points to best her previous school record of 41, and the Eagle’s 103 points were the most scored by any girls team in the school’s record book.

The Eagles led 58-39 at halftime and never looked back.

“It was just like when I was a kid down at the park,” said Calvary Christian coach Brad Richards. “It was just go and everyone was just going.”

Frandreka Oliver scored 15 of her 24 points in the first half for Muskegon Heights and Danasia Day put in 13 of her 17 points in the opening 16 minutes as well.

Allyson Richards scored 22 points and had 12 rebounds for the Eagles while freshman Madison Heiss scored a season high 18 points.

West Michigan Conference

Montague 49, North Muskegon 32Emma Flagstead scored 17 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and had three blocked shots as Montague grabbed the league win. Montague led 23-12 at halftime and used a 15-6 third quarter run to shut the door. North Muskegon was led by Alyssa Delora with 10 points.
