The North Muskegon girls basketball team overcame a five point fourth quarter deficit to defeat Holland Black River 48-45 in non-league action on Tuesday night.

The Norse closed the game on a 8-0 run that was capped off by a Alyssa DeLora game-winning 3-pointer with just under 15 seconds left.

Mya Duncan and Olivia Duncan led the Norse with 14 points each with DeLora score nine.

Holton 64, Ravenna 42 – The Red Devils (13-4) built a 30-point halftime lead and cruised to the win. Jacki Stone led Holton with 16 points, seven assists and six steals. Katie Wildfong and Makayla Hutchinson added 13 and 12 points, apiece.

Spring Lake 61, Wyoming Godwin Heights 41 – Three Lakers scored in double figures as Spring Lake improved to 17-0. Reiko Johnson put up a game-high 16 points with Kelsee Zuidema and Remington French each adding 11 for the Lakers.

Whitehall 37, Fremont 33 – The Vikings were led by Emily MacArthur with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Melissa Shoup pulled down 10 rebounds in the win. Fremont was led by Bre Harris with 13 points. Whitehall, now 7-9, has won six of its last seven games. Fremont drops to 4-13.

Mason County Central 60, Montague 43 – The Spartans jumped out to a 16-7 lead after the first quarter and 48-34 lead after the third quarter.  Nate Strejcek led the Spartans with 11 points and six rebounds while Sean Kelley had 10 points.  Jacob Buchberger led the Wildcats with 15 points.

Hart 66, Hesperia 23 – The Pirates (9-9, 6-7) used their inside game to dominate the Panthers (4-13, 0-8). Hart was led by Baylee Draper with 20 points and 17 rebounds.

East Kentwood 56, Muskegon 54 – The Big Reds’ 30-27 halftime lead evaporated as they were outscored 29-24 in the second half. Mardrekia Cook led the Big Reds with 21 points while Shawnteanna Dame had 14 points.

Zeeland East 46, Fruitport 37 – Iyana Brown led Fruitport with 24 points and seven steals. Alyssa Veihl added 11 rebounds.
