Muskegon pounds Mona Shores in O-K Black boys basketball action

The Muskegon Big Reds used a 31-point opening quarter to roll past Mona Shores 81-26 Friday in O-K Black Conference boys basketball.

The Big Reds led 55-20 by halftime and never looked back.

Deyonta Davis posted 18 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots for the Big Reds, who had 10 different players score in the game.

Daryl Kirkland scored a game-high 19 points for Muskegon while Joeviair Kennedy posted 17. Jason Loera added seven steals for Muskegon.

Mona Shores was led by Kobe Burse with 13 points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots.
