The Whitehall girls basketball team outscored Hart 11-8 in the fourth quarter Thursday to gain a tight 44-41 victory in a non-league matchup.

The Vikings, now 11-9, were led by Payton Bearup’s 18 points.

Baylee Draper paced Hart (9-11) with 12 points.

North Muskegon 64 Ravenna 40 – North Muskegon (4-15, 3-11 ) took control by outscoring the Bulldogs 23-7 in the fourth quarter. Olivia Duncan led the Norse with 24 points. Melissa McWatters paced Ravenna (5-14. 3-11) with 11 points.

Shelby 74 Muskegon Heights 37 – Shelby (11-9, 9-5) shot nearly 50 percet from the floor in the blowout victory. Jenny Beckman led the Tigers with 19 points.

Mason County Central 38 Newaygo 35 – The Spartans (5-15) were able to hold off the Lions’ fourth quarter comeback. Kylie Mount led the Spartans with 10 points. Madi Glese scored 10 points for the Lions.

Tri Unity Christian 64 Fruitport Calvary Christian 57 – Calvary Christian (17-3) lost the lead when it was outscored 23-7 in the fourth quarter. Allyson Richards led Calvary with 22 points and 15 rebounds.

Boys

Muskegon Catholic 55, Montague 39 – The Crusaders (12-6) plowed to the victory by outscoring the Wildcats (8-9) 33-19 in the second half.

Whitehall 85 Algoma Christian 49 – Whitehall (10-6) outscored Algoma Christian 52-29 in the second and third quarter combined. Keenan Aylor and CJ Watson had 14 points apiece for the Vikings. Algoma Christian was led by Ben Fales with 31 points.
