The Oakridge boys basketball team obviously never gives up.

The Eagles trailed host Montague 16-4 after one quarter on Thursday. But they chipped away at the deficit throughout the game, then outscored the Wildcats by 10 in the fourth quarter to steal a 58-54 victory in West Michigan Conference action.

James Cooper II led Oakridge with 19 points. Jacob Buchberger scored 18 for Montague.

Whitehall 68, Ravenna 46 – The Vikings grabbed an 18-5 lead after one quarter and cruised to the league win. Keenan Aylor led the way with 23 points and 11 rebounds for Whitehall while Noah Trombley added 16 points and Cheston Manns had nine. Connor Beahan scored 21 points for the Bulldogs.

Mason County Central 64, Hart 36 – The Spartans led by 10 at halftime, then pulled away with a 34-16 advantage in the second half. Johnny Shafer and Sean Kelly scored 15 and 14 points, respectively, for Mason County Central. Travis Hall led Hart with 11 points.
