The North Muskegon boys basketball team continued its hot streak Friday, downing Mason County Central 47-41 in a West Michigan Conference game.

The Norsemen’s victory avenged an earlier loss to the Spartans.

North Muskegon trailed 21-15 at halftime and 30-27 after three quarters, then used a 20-11 burst in the fourth quarter to steal with win.

The Norse, led by Riley Fairfield’s 14 points, improved to 9-5 overall and 7-3 in the league.

Sean Kelley had 12 points for Mason County Central (9-5, 6-4).

Shelby 55, Whitehall 34 – Led by Jeffrey Beckman, who had 19 points and 12 rebounds, the Tigers remained undefeated at 14-0 overall and 9-0 in the West Michigan Conference. Caleb Anderson had eight points, four assists and three steals for Shelby. CJ Watson scored 12 points for Whitehall.

Oakridge 54, Hart 25 – In a bid for their first win of the season, the Hart Pirates jumped out to a 13-5 first quarter lead. But the rest of the game did not go as well for the Pirates, who had a scoreless third quarter. Travis Hall, Dylan Vanderzwaag, and Brett Bonstell each scored six points in a losing effort. Oakridge was led by Hunter Benson with 14 points and three steals. Kaleb Cook pulled down eight rebounds in the victory.

Montague 60, Ravenna 33 – Montague improved to 7-6 overall and 4-6 in the conference. Ravenna dropped to 2-10 and 1-8.
