Emily MacArthur scored 27 points and grabbed 25 rebounds in Whitehall’s 46-28 win over North Muskegon in West Michigan Conference girls basketball on Thursday.

The Vikings (6-8, 5-5) held the Norse to just five first-half points to lead 18-5 at the break.

“We didn’t have great composure until the second half,” said Whitehall coach Rachel Kent. “We had to take a deep breath at halftime and refocus. We had to reset our standard of play.”

Whitehall’s Melissa Shoup pulled down 11 rebounds with three blocks and three steals while Emily Spicklemire had four steals and four points.

North Muskegon was led by Mya Duncan with nine points.

Ravenna 54, Hart 32 – The Bulldogs posted three players in double figures. Melissa McWatters scored 17 points, Maddison Broton put in 14 points and Erica Adams added 10. Yasmine Colon had nine points and eight rebounds for Hart, which trailed 37-20 to start the fourth quarter. Baylee Draper had 10 rebounds and seven points and Anna Hertzler added six rebounds and five points for Hart.  Montague 48, Mason County Central 30 – Sophomore guard Sydney Stine led a second half Montague charge that outscored MCC 30-14. Stine tallied five 3-pointers and 18 points, all in the second half. Emma Flagstead added 11 points, eight rebounds and four blocks for Montague.
