The West Michigan Lake Hawks scored 75 second-half points to run away with a 138-107 win over the Chicago Fury on Saturday night.

The Hawks were lifted by four players with 21 points or more.

Will Wright led the way with 25 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 blocked shots. JhaMonte Melton, who recently returned after being away on military reserve duties, added 24 points.

Lou Williams also tallied 23 points, 12 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 3 steals. Kulawnie Saunders put up 21 points while Ralph Monday added 13 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 assists. David Fox also had 12 rebounds.

“We are beginging to put full quarters together and come up with big wins against great teams,” said Coach Ron Jenkins whose team led 63-52 at halftime. “Tonight we finally put together the pieces of the puzzle we have been waiting to see.”

Idell Bell led the Lake Hawks with 10 assists while Jacob Owens also added 7 assists.

The Lake Hawks will play next Saturday at 4 p.m. at Reeths-Puffer High School against the Oakland County Firebirds.
