Three first-inning runs helped the Muskegon Community College softball team to a 5-2 victory over Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio on Sunday.

Megan Jean delivered the big hit for the Jayhawks with a three-run homer. Morgan Giddings also had a big day, going 3-for-4 at the place and scoring two runs.

Amy Gillings added two hits and scored a run for the Jayhawks.

Pitcher Katie Hendrickson got the win for MCC, allowing two runs on 10 hits, four strikeouts and no walks. Megan Carpenter finished up on the mound with two perfect innings.
