North Muskegon was the unfortunate victim of Laingsburg’s three-point shooting as the Norseman fell to the Wolfpack 60-38 Monday in a Class C regional semifinal game at Beal City High School.

Laingsburg led 10-7 after the first quarter, then went on an 18-12 second quarter run to lead 28-19 at halftime.

The Norsemen managed only one field goal in the third quarter, were outscored 15-6 and trailed 43-25 at the buzzer. The Wolfpack closed the game with 17-13 fourth quarter advantage.

Erick Bleakley and Riley Fairfield each scored nine points for the Norseman. Marco Visconti added seven points. “We had a great season,” said North Muskegon coach Chuck Rypstra. “We’re going to look back at the things that we did and how we came together as a team.” North Muskegon finished the season with a 16-8 record.
