The Muskegon Big Reds faced a no-quitting Hudsonville team on Wednesday night in what will go down as the most thrilling regional final game ever. Few can say they’ve witnessed a quadruple overtime game, let alone one during the heart of March Madness.

The 70-60 win by the Big Reds showed this team has incredible courage when their backs are against the wall. Four overtimes is tough to bear for the fans, imagine what the players on the court felt. Then take Mr. Basketbal candidate Deyonta Davis out of the game after fouling out with some five minutes left in regulation.

Muskegon rose to the occasion and showed they just might have what it takes to go all the way in Class A.

The Big Reds move on to Lansing Eastern on Tuesday to take on Lansing Everett in the quarterfinals which will no doubt be another showdown.
