The Spring Lake boys basketball team held on to defeat Newaygo 67-62 Monday in a Class B regional first round contest at Hamilton High School.
The Lakers led 17-7 after the first quarter and 30-25 at halftime.

Spring Lake (17-7) regained its 10-point advantage at 47-37 after the third quarter, before surviving a 25-20 fourth quarter surge by the Lions.
Keegan George led the Lakers with 23 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. Zach Montgomery had 12 points while Mark Williamson added 11 for the Lakers.
Spring Lake will face Holland Christian on Wednesday night for a Class B regional title.
