Tigers 1, Pirates 0 – The Tigers’ pitching once again dominated in their second straight shutout win. Alfredo Simon pitched eight innings, allowing two hits while striking out two.
Joakim Soria picked up his fourth save of the season.
Rajai Davis produced the game’s only run with a solo home run in the sixth inning.
The Tigers have the day off tomorrow, they will start a three game weekend series with the Chicago White Sox.
