Tigers 8, Indians 4 – The Tigers won their fourth straight game on the strength of Nick Castellanos’ homerun and two RBIs.
Alfredo Simon earned the victory in his first start as a Tiger, pitching five and a third innings while allowing three runs on seven hits. Joakim Soria picked up the save by striking out the Indians final batter.
The Tigers offensive had 18 hits in the game.
