Yankees 2, Tigers 1 – The Tiger continued to struggle offensively on Thursday afternoon, scoring only one run on three hits. They dropped their third game in a row to the Yankees.

lsj-fb-logoJ.D Martinez hit two doubles, while Victor Martinez knocked in a run with a sacrifice fly in the first inning.

Tigers will host the Cleveland Indians in a three game series starting tomorrowDH's IOTD night.

Lightning 3, Red Wings 2 (OT) – Detroit let a two goal lead disappear by giving up two goals in the final 5:26 of regulation.

The Lightning’s Tyler Johnson scored 2:25 into overtime to even the series 2-2.

Gustav Nyquist and Joakim Andersson each scored a goal for the Red Wings.

The series will shift to Tampa Bay on Saturday for a pivotal game five.
