Two second half goals by West Ottawa doomed the Grand Haven girls soccer team, which dropped a 3-2 decision Tuesday in an O-K Red Conference game.
The teams were tied 1-1 at halftime, but the Panthers took control with a pair of goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half. The Bucs fought back with a goal from Jenna Winkler midway through the half, but couldn’t find the equalizer.
Paige Wagenmaker scored Grand Haven’s goal in the first half, with an assist from Katie Fojtik. Alyson Donselar and Jordanne Ellingboe combined to make seven saves in goal for the Bucs, who are 1-3-1 on the season.
